You might find it hard to believe; the egg was able to get past 19 million likes in a short time. Only within a week, the egg won its journey over Kylie Jenner. By January 15 this year, the egg gained about 40 million likes.

In his own words, the creator of the account said to The Sun Online, “No hard feelings Kylie. All’s fair in love and war.

According to him, the Instagram account was just an experiment that was meant to try something unique using the most basic thing possible: an egg.

The person again said, “I guess it’s also a comment on celebrity culture and how fragile and easily cracked it is – pun intended. But really I just thought it would be funny if something as simple as an egg could take the crown.”

According to the New York Times, Chris Godfrey, who created world record egg Instagram, is 29 years old advertising executive in London. The admin decided to find out if he could break Kylie Jenner’s world-famous record of holding most likes.

Chris’s comment to the NY Times is:

“An egg has no gender, race or religion. An egg is an egg; it’s universal. Could something as universal and simple as an egg be great enough to beat that record?”

Why Instagram’s world record egg got famous? It was because Chris was not alone in this. Along with him, other friends including C.J. Brown and Alissa Khan-Whelan were also involved in this unique mission.

The new strategy

The newest post by World_Record_Egg account ensures that Chris is onto something better. “The pressure of social media is getting to me” phrase correctly identifies the mental health issue around the celebrity world today.

Chris teamed up with Hulu to tackle this issue soon after Eugine, the egg, became a most liked post on Instagram. They even urged the individuals for immediate contact if they face a similar problem.

The reaction of Instagram followers

Soon after the Instagram egg page owner got famous around the world, several egg Instagram followers behaved differently. One of them mentioned below tried their hand at reaching 40 million likes.

I found it specially funny.

Another one for the follower’s showered their love for Chris by making this post public:

Morgi_memes attempted to speculate who had been inside the egg. Maybe this is why it got so much attention.

Well, egg has gender and race. Maybe that’s why people found it unique.

Looks like someone hates 2019.

I couldn’t stop myself from sharing this with you.

I never thought an egg could get as much as 52 million likes.
