The cinema has placed a greater impact on the minds of youths today. Movies based on the Indian army and government are rare today. Still, two special release this Friday changed the perception of people toward the country. Many individuals provided their Honest Review about the movies.
Yes, this article is going to talk about URI: The Surgical strike and The Accidental Prime Minister. I would be providing you with my Honest Review, after that.
URI: The Surgical Strike
As the story depicts, the movie revolves around the character named Major Vihan Singh Shergill, Major Karan Kashyap, and the entire Indian army. You might have heard about the attack on Pakistan back in 2016. The movie has recreated the scenes.
The actors that played an important role in the movie include Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Rajit Kapur, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari, and Mohit Raina.
Critics of the movie
Even with stunning cinematography, the news websites like Times of India and Hindustan times gave it 3 and 2 stars respectively. You might wonder, why would anyone neglect the messages given by such movies altogether?
The answer is quite simple: the story-line of the movie. You would see the scenes full of dramatic performances. Indeed, this movie is compared to Hollywood action by many. The drama, however, caused many characters enhanced the Bollywood flavor more.
Lastly, you would notice that the movie is quite slow, rather predictable in nature. The audience knew what to expect from the movie altogether, which was not effective enough.
The story showed the heroism of the great Indian Army on the borders of India. You would notice the impactful work by the actors, especially Vicky Kaushal and Mohit Raina.
Being a debut director, Aditya Dhar showed promising skills in picturizing the real phenomenon. The action scenes were up to the mark and movie placed bigger impact on the audience.

The movie had special background music that made it special in the eyes of viewers. In a specific scene, the entire anxiety and frustration as depicted using music without any dialogue. You can see such remarkable scenes throughout the movie.
My honest review
This movie is a must watch if you are a patriot and action lover. The movie is full of scenes showing the efforts of the Indian Army in reality. I would want you to experience the action and emotions within the movie all by yourself.
A word of caution: you might find it boring if you hate fighting scenes.
The Accidental Prime Minister
The Accidental Prime Minister was released in the accurate timing: amid the elections. The movie centers on the Indian Political system and the corruption that dwells in. Important actors in the movie include Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert, Aanana Kumra, and Arjun Mathur. You will read my Honest Review by the end of this section.
Critics of the movie
Even though the movie trailer showcased the promise of providing actual events, the movie failed to do so. The top Indian news websites such as times of India, India Today, and NDTV gave lower stars such as 3.5, 1, and 2.5 respectively.
The primary critics revolve around Baru being the chief spokesperson and media advisor of Dr. Singh. He had been in the high position between 2004 and 2008. In the movie, the scripts showed him to be in the place in 2011.

Lastly, the movie was quite slow and boring for someone who does not love political dilemma.
Even though the movie has been open for a debate, the audiences received it positively. Many comments were made regarding the effortless performance of Anupam Kher.
You would find zero difference between the actual events depicted in the original book and the movie. Even though the movie showed events that can be hurtful to political parties, the censor board passed the film.

My honest reviews
It’s an excellent movie for a political lover, expect I am not really into politics. I loved the idea of showing the real face of Congress in the film. If you are like me, I would still recommend you to watch it at least once.
Both the URI: The surgical strike and The Accidental Prime Minister are followed by critics in the country. Still, the directors made a lot of effort to present the scenes as realistic as possible. You would definitely enjoy the movies since they depict the events and occurrences related to the real world.
